(August 2016) The Dallas Cowboys and Lincoln Property Company have awarded United Protective Services the contract security services beginning July 17th, 2016. “We have worked with Lincoln on other projects here in Dallas, as well as in Houston; but, we have never worked with a professional sports team and venue,” stated Eddy Allen, founder of United Protective.

The STAR is a mixed-use development that will be anchored by the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and a city multi-use event center. This publicly owned, multi-use event center called the Ford Center will be used by the City of Frisco and Frisco Independent School District (FISD) to host various activities, including athletic competitions, graduations and other special events and programs. The Cowboys Headquarters will become the new home to the Cowboy’s entire football operation, including administrative offices, coaches’ offices and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. John Fuqua, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for United Protective, “We had a relationship with Lincoln and were happy they invited us to be a part of the process back in February this year.” The contract was awarded at the end of June and UPS had ‘boots on the ground’ on July 17th. “We ramped up quickly; and, interviewed over 500 people to staff the project on time,” stated John.

“We have known each other for over 25 years,” mentioned Andy Allen, part-owner and Director of the United Protective Houston regional office, “but, this is by far the biggest contract that either of us have ever been a part of in our respective careers.”

“Right now, the project entails just the Headquarters and The Knuckle office buildings, MUEC, and the Cowboys offices, locker room and practice facility. Eventually, there will be Retail Shops, Restaurants, the OMNI Hotel, and Baylor Scott & White Hospital,” stated UPS Director of Operations, Robert Gagnon. “We have a staff of over 60 plus security officers that could grow up to close to 100.”

“John quarterbacked the bid process, and we owe a lot to him helping United Protective secure this opportunity“ remarked Eddy. “The Dallas Cowboys are the team my brother Andy and I watched and rooted for every Sunday growing up. Now, they are the Number 1 Sports Franchise in the World (according to Forbes). To say this is big deal for us would be an understatement!”
